Scope

 

Givaudan Water Permit Review & Regulatory/Geologic Assessment

BCI's services were obtained by Givaudan Flavors Corporation to perform a water permit review and a regulatory and geologic assessment of their plant in Lakeland, Florida.

The plant consisted of a product warehouse, a processing building, a maintenance storage building, two holding tank farms, and an office building situated on a nine-acre parcel.

BCI staff performed the following tasks:

  • Site inspection
  • Interview with operations personnel
  • Review of current water use permit and available records
  • Sampling and field testing of the recovery and injection water
  • Review of current and historical  aerial photographs of the area
  • Research of published local and regional geologic and hydrogeologic data to evaluate the potential for sinkhole development
  • Preparation of a summary report
