Sparky’s Food Store #122 Remedial Action Plan

BCI was contracted by a private client to develop a Remedial Action Plan (RAP) in compliance with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s State Petroleum Reimbursement Program. This program was initiated by the State of Florida in an effort to assist land owners with the remediation costs associated with leaking underground fuel storage tanks.

The first phase of the project required the installation of several screening wells utilizing a GeoProbe to collect organic vapor analysis and groundwater samples designed to delineate the potential contamination boundaries.

Once funded, BCI will design and install recovery, injection and monitor wells for the purpose of site clean up based on the analytical results of theses screening points. The RAP will include the results of the first phase of the project as well as the recommended clean up methodology that best suits the site and the criteria of the petroleum reimbursement program.
