Lake Grady Dam & Spillway

Scope

The Lake Grady Road & Bridge District retained BCI to perform the comprehensive engineering and permitting services for the rehabilitation of Lake Grady's dam and spillway. Based on historical data, BCI conducted a site-specific geotechnical and structural investigation.

BCI provided the following services:

• Geotechnical, hydraulic and environmental investigations and analyses
• Conceptual and final design work
• Regulatory permitting
• Bid document preparation and bidding assistance
• Construction supervision

BCI was also responsible for the permit submittal and negotiation with the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This project exemplifies BCI's expertise in dam assessment and design, slurry wall design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (AdICPR), environmental oversight, and structural spillway design.
