BCI was hired by Rodda Construction to provide professional civil design and permitting services for the development of a new 60,000-square-foot Fun Bike Center. The Fun Bike Center houses a large inventory of motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, personal watercrafts, and utility vehicles from Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Piaggio, Vespa, Aprilia and Schwinn.

BCI was hired by Furr & Wegman to provide civil site design and permitting services for a 150-unit affordable housing project consisting of 76 one-bedroom and 74 two-bedroom units. BCI prepared a compact, underground drainage system layout and prepared site plans for submission to regulatory agencies that included site grading, signs, ingress/egress, pavement design, and water, sewer, and drainage system designs.

BCI’s Director of Civil Engineering, Mr. David Butcher, PE, was hired by Donna Jean Realty to design a new 5-acre commercial, retail, and residential development on Jim Redman Parkway in Plant City. Four, two-story buildings were designed in an “old Florida” southern style with commercial/ retail space on first floors and ten luxury apartments on the second floors.

The Hilton Garden Inn is a 105-room hotel located at the Lakeland Linder Regional Airport. The hotel design includes 5,000 square feet of meeting space, an observation deck overlooking the airport runway, a full-service restaurant, and an outdoor pool.

BCI was retained by First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc. to provide comprehensive civil site design and permitting services. The project involved the master plan and design of a 300 acre industrial park. In addition, BCI was secured to design and permit specific businesses as they bought into the park. BCI completed a site plan that incorporates site grading and drainage systems, driveway and access roads, water distribution and sewer collection systems, on-site lift station design, off-site force main design (utility records and as-builts), landscape and irrigation design, and lighting.

BCI was responsible for the design and permitting of a 21-acre townhome development site in Eustis, Florida. Located off of County Road 44B, Las Fuentes Townhomes is a private residential community comprised of 84 housing units. BCI’s site design incorporated the existing site survey and included plans for pavement design and driveway connections, grading and drainage of driveway and parking areas, stormwater system design, wastewater and water system connections, and sediment erosion.

BCI has developed a civil site design for a 10- acre, mixed-use development on Lake Dora in downtown Tavares, Florida. The project is a redevelopment of an industrial area and will be a “face lift” for the shores of Lake Dora when construction is complete. BCI’s site design integrates the existing site survey and a design plan for pavement design, grading/drainage of driveway and parking areas, stormwater system design, water and wastewater system extensions, and road improvements. In addition, BCI prepared a wetland delineation and mitigation plan for exotic invasive vegetation and a natural shoreline stabilization plan.

BCI provided design and construction support to Lennar Communities for the development of Creekside Subdivision. The subdivision is approximately 116 acres with 188 planned housing units. The entire southeast portion of the site is a designated wetland area, which was incorporated into a nature trail on the perimeter of the upland area of the site.

BCI has been a master engineer for Home Depot since 1990. We have performed comprehensive site design and environmental evaluations. The sites have varied in technical and environmental challenges including onsite wetlands, potential hazardous wastes, and threatened and endangered species. Tasks performed include site planning and conceptual site layout, traffic flow patterns and access management, land use evaluations and rezoning, site design and permitting, and construction management.

 BCI provided complete civil design and permitting for a 50-acre industrial park located in Haines City. The mini park is part of a larger industrial/commercial center known as the CR 544/SR 17 Commerce Park. The park provides rail access and involves compliance with the city’s new land development code.
