The BCI GIS staff have been performing aerial mapping and photo-interpretation collectively for more than 20 years. Recent projects include the aerial delineation of Brazilian Pepper in the maintained right-of-ways along Interstate 75 and Interstate 275 (FDOT District 1), Florida Land Use Classification (FLUCFCS) mapping for Jahna Industries, and creek and ditch network delineation for CF Industries.
Our staff has mapped more than 500 square miles of Florida vegetation and more than 300 linear miles of roadways and shoreline by aerial interpretation.
The GIS staff has experience working with national and local aerial image and LiDAR suppliers including EarthData, 3001 Inc., Digital Aerial Solutions, Pickett and Associates, Inc., Aerial Cartographics of America, I.F. Rook, and others.
