BCI Engineers & Scientists, Inc. has been named one of Florida’s Best Companies to Work For by Florida Trend Magazine

Lakeland, FL – August 4, 2009 – BCI Engineers & Scientists, Inc. has been named one of Florida’s Best Companies to Work For by Florida Trend Magazine.

BCI was ranked 48 out of 50 firms chosen for the list of Best Mid-Sized Companies (50 to 249 employees).

“BCI has established an outstanding reputation for quality services.  Credit for this honor goes to every one of our employees,” said Walter Reigner, Executive Vice President.

“Part of BCI’s mission statement is to provide stimulating career paths to its employees,” Reigner said.  “BCI is committed to doing its part to assure the employees of a satisfying work experience.  We pride ourselves in keeping abreast of current technology and providing our clients with professionals of the highest caliber.”

The candidates for this award were chosen through a joint effort of Florida Trend and Best Companies Group.  The firms surveyed had to employ at least 15 workers, and companies based out of state were welcome to participate.

The survey was divided into two parts: a questionnaire about company policies, practices, and demographics; and a sample group of BCI’s employees, who each responded anonymously to 72 statements on a five-level agree/disagree scale.

Questions asked on the survey included two open-ended questions and seven demographic questions.  Eight topics were covered: leadership and planning; corporate culture and communications; role satisfaction; work environment; relationship with supervisor; training and development; pay and benefits; and overall engagement.

The firms were then divided into three categories: large companies (250 or more employees), mid-sized companies (50 to 249), and small (fewer than 50 employees).  Contract employees were not included in this tally.
