Scope

In 2006, BCI was retained by CANTEX, Inc. to conduct a Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) on two light industrial properties adjacent to their Auburndale PVC pipe manufacturing facility. The assessment was completed in accordance with applicable ASTM Standards (E1528-05, E1903-97(2003)) and included a detailed inspection of the two parcels and adjacent facilities; interviews with persons knowledgeable of the properties; review of historical information including aerial photographs, chain-of-title records, and past site operations; an electronic database search of state and federal environmental records; and review of local regulatory records. 


The Phase II ESA included the installation of four monitoring wells and collection and analysis of groundwater samples to evaluate potential groundwater impacts from a nearby wood treatmen facility and from on-site incidental releases of petroleum products.
