Scope
BCI completed a remedial investigation, feasibility study and remedial action plan of an abandoned dump site identified as the Bray Road Dump located within the Genesee County Recreation Area. This work has been performed for the Genesee Parks and Recreation Department and the Genesee County Board of Commissioners. The objective is to provide Genesee County with information pertaining to the determination of whether hazardous substances arepresent on the site and, if present, whether concentrations exceed current MDEQ risk-based standards.
Work performed included surface, subsurface and lake bottom solids sampling; installation of groundwater monitoring wells; collection of surface and groundwater samples; development of site specific recreational risk-based cleanup values; and identification of closure options.
Ongoing annual remedial action monitoring is completed by BCI. Data is collected using low-flow sampling techniques and evaluated.
