Groundwater Discharge Permit

Scope
 A planned unit development required a groundwater discharge site for 300,000 gallons per day. BCI completed an evaluation of multiple locations in search of a suitable site. Detailed hydrogeological investigation and permitting and aquifer testing for the development of a rapid-rate infiltration discharge area were performed and a permit submitted to the MDEQ. The site was permitted by the MDEQ.
BCI staff also assisted with and observed construction of three discharge basins and provided expert witness testimony.
During permit renewal, additional studies were completed and the discharge volume was increased to 500,000 gallons per day. The site is currently operational and is providing capacity for the Hidden Lake Development and other areas within Green Oak Township.
