Environmental Compliance & NPDES Permitting / Implementation
|
|
Scope
BCI is responsible for comprehensive environmental compliance of hundreds of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) stormwater facilities in 17 counties throughout central Florida. We perform stormwater facility inspection, maintenance work order preparation, maintenance contract preparation, and database compliance information entry. We developed a state-of-the-art GIS-relational database application to track, maintain, and document all aspects of environmental/NPDES permits.
BCI staff has extensive experience dealing with all aspects of the NPDES stormwater program from permit development and assembly to long-term program implementation and management. We are Certified Erosion & Sediment Control Specialists (CPESC), and maintain the equipment and certification necessary to conduct Confined Space Entry in support of drainage infrastructure inspection. BCI has all the instrumentation and loggers required to monitor long-term system functionality to prove or disprove compliance status. As necessary, BCI staff provide review services and system retrofit design to optimize compliance of FDOT-owned systems.
We routinely provide training and workshops to the FDOT on erosion & sediment control, environmental impacts, stormwater management, and NPDES. BCI’s experience with FDOT has contributed to our expertise in the following:
-
Long-term Stormwater Facility Management:
Inspection & Maintenance
-
Relational Databases
-
Application Development
-
Training & Educational Workshops
-
Design Review and Retrofit Services
